I play the drums

I’ve been playing the drums for 28 years and have been very fortunate to make part of that a career as a professional drummer.

I tried many times to convince my parents to let me drop out of college to join various touring bands, but they would always push back, which later I realized was a good thing because after using my degree for 7 years, I joined a little band with my friends called CRUISR. We played a lot of local shows in Philly and would record a song here or there. But suddenly we got some traction on the blogs. Soon we had a manager and a record contract with Vagrant Records. (Yeah, THAT Vagrant Records, who put out some of the best emo records in the early-oughts)

One day in early October of 2014, we got called up to the big leagues—Our first tour! But it wasn’t just any old kind of tour where you slog it out to try and play to more than the other bands. No, it was opening as main support to a band called The 1975. The tour was a full US tour spanning 6 weeks and was to kick off on November 1st. Just a month of prepping, nbd! Those 6 weeks were truly some of the most amazing weeks of my entire life. We opened every night in a new city playing to 3,000 rabid fans.
